Support for Leave Your House

Leave Your House blocks selected apps during a lock session and unlocks them when you reach a saved location, complete a walk, or use Emergency Unlock.

Getting Started

On first launch, set Home, grant permissions, choose what apps to block, and save a target location. The recommended setup blocks broad distracting categories, while essentials can stay available when selected.

Emergency Access

Emergency Unlock is always available from the active lock screen. Hold the emergency unlock control for 5 seconds to end the lock and clear app shields.

Settings also includes Disable All Locks. It turns off schedules, cancels delayed locks, clears any active lock, and unlocks apps.

Music and Essentials

Apple keeps Screen Time app selections private, so Leave Your House cannot automatically identify Spotify, Apple Music, Podcasts, Maps, Phone, or Messages. Add those apps manually under Choose Music & Essentials if you want them to stay available.

Do not block apps you may urgently need. Keep Phone, messages, maps, medical, work, school, or other must-have apps available by selecting them as essentials.

Known iOS Limits

iOS does not allow third-party apps to literally lock the whole phone. Leave Your House uses Apple's approved Screen Time shielding system for selected apps, categories, and websites. Scheduled locks only start near Home; if the app cannot safely confirm you are near Home, the lock skips instead of shielding apps.

Pro, Billing, and Cancellation

Leave Your House Pro is $19.99/year with a 1-week free trial. Apple handles payment, cancellation, refunds, and subscription management. You can manage or cancel Pro in App Store subscription settings.

If Apps Stay Locked

Reopen Leave Your House first. If a lock is active, complete the goal, use Emergency Unlock, or go to Settings and choose Disable All Locks. If shields still do not clear, restart the iPhone and contact support with your iOS version and what action you tried.
